The Dark Cloud

This miserable journey that we've been on for the past 10 months continues.

On Saturday afternoon, I had to take Muffin to the emergency Vet. She woke with the poops then started pooping blood. After spending 4+ hours there (they were busy) we were sent home with Flagyl for her gastro upset. She's on the chicken and rice diet which she loves. She hates taking her med's.

Then..... The lump on Lily's face is still there. It's been 10 days. The Vet put her on antibiotics last week.

It's hard to get a good picture of the lump because she's a wiggly little worm or the lighting is bad. Sorry this is blurry, but you can see it under her right eye.

After many conversations with our Vet, Lily will be going in for surgery tomorrow morning. Once she is sedated they will check out her teeth and also will do an XRay if needed. The Vet is positive it's a tooth. They will take extra precautions with her because Lily is an IVDD survivor and they have to watch her neck carefully. We don't need any more disk's rupturing.

Please (once again) keep Lily in your thoughts and prayers. I'm a nervous wreck. Lily is my baby. Yes she may be 10 years young, she's still my little girl.

We're so very sorry that we missed Angel Jazzi's Taco Day celebration. So we celebrated the beautiful life of our furend tonight. We will always remember you with love in our hearts!

Hugs,
Kim

  3. Oh my, we are so sorry you are going through so much. Pocket had four weeks of diarrhea and the vet was not helpful. We got her a GNC probiotic, started feeding her some plain yogurt and a bit of pumpkin and she is fine. Now River has some diarrhea and she is on the same diet. Make sure you get a probiotic for dogs and try some pumpkin for fiber and yogurt which has lots of probiotics. Prayers for Lily's surgery.
