Hubby gets the Gold

It's not often that hubby and I get to go out. Go "out" as in a date. Yes, we've been married for 19 years but we still enjoy our date-nights! It is hard because we have to worry about my Dad and of course, about Lily and Muffin. Well, the stars aligned correctly in the universe and we went to another concert.

Remember when we went to see Meat Loaf and sat in 7th row seats.... Well, hubby got us front row seats to The Dukes of September. Front row!! You may be asking yourselves who the heck is The Dukes of September????

Donald Fagen from Steely Dan

Boz Scaggs

Michael McDonald from the Dooby Brothers

The actual song list from the concert

Then to top it all off, we met Rusty Wallace the NASCAR driver. Now, I'm not into car racing but hubby thought it was pretty cool.

Oh yes, I cropped myself outta the photo. Eyes were closed and I looked like a Dork!

It was an awesome night... Fantastic songs with great performers and a night out with my sweetie! Hubby gets the Gold Medal for planning this.

I LOVE date night!

Hugs,
Kim

  3. That sounds like one terror-ific date night! So glad you had fun.

PeeS....On another note, Isaac pretty much just left our area with a lot of heavy rain on Sunday night. By lunchtime yesterday it was pretty much out of here. In the future, when the weather turns ugly, if you want to email your address to your house in Florida to us, we'll drive by after the storm and make sure everything looks ok.

  5. Glad you had a great date. I'm not sure I would have recognized Rusty Wallace in a crowd. Too bad you cut yourself out of the picture, but isn't it nice to be able to edit photos if we want to?

  7. hey Lily,

So furry happy your peeps had such an amazing night. Seventh row for Meatloaf? My human thinks that is awesome! And she had never heard of The Dukes of September but she has heard of every member and can imagine how great the show was. And to have front row seats, very fun! And how cool to meet a race car driver. Sounds like it was a super date night for your peeps. So, Lily, when is your night out on the town? ;->
