Thursday's Update

The past week or so, we've had some really bad internut's problems here. We could only connect for about 87 seconds before getting booted off. We had the repairman here yesterday and he didn't like us barking at him so much. He had the ball's nerve to ask Mommy to put us away in another room. So  we had to sit with Daddy in the TV room while he was in the house. Of course, we still voiced our opinion about it through closed doors.

He finally replaced the modem for us. It was only 7 years old and still good (according to him!) Then the knucklehead didn't even hook it up correctly. It worked momentarily while he was here so he left. As soon as he pulled out of the driveway, it broke again. Daddy saved the day and finally got us up and running once again. He said because we've had so many power surges here the past week it fried the modem.

The big cloud on the top left is a bad storm cloud

We tried our best to keep up with everyone from Mommy's smart phone. Butt she said it's very hard to leave comments bcuz her fingers are so BIG and the keys so small. But we've been reading everyone's blogs.

Later last night we had some excitement around here. We had a strange man walking around our back yard and he didn't belong there.

We have a very large back yard that goes for like 87 miles

Mommy watched him for quite a while and even took a picture of him walking around just in case we had to ID him. (Sarge, you would be proud of Mom!) He was wearing a hoodie, black shorts and really bright orange boxers. Yes, his shorts were hanging down about as far as China. I see London, I see France, I see your underpants Buddy!!

After a good long while the stranger walked away. Then he came back again so Mommy called 911 and gave a good description of the guy. The Police Officer called and talked to Mommy and said he would check it out. We never did hear the outcome so will assume the stranger left or the Police took care of him. We live in a private, gated community so we're always on watch dog patrol. Butt you can believe that ALL our door's and window's were locked tight all night long!

I'm watching you Orange Underwear Dude!

The weather here in Florida has been quite stormy with many thunder boomers. That means we've once again become indoor dog's or as in Muffin's case, under the bed dog's. That is where she runs and hides when she is scared.

Do I look concerned? You betcha!! I'm a woosie.

On a lighter note, we had something really cool happen right in our back yard the other day! On the back of MY lounge chair someone built/spun a Chrysalis. That's the tiny little thing that a butterfly emerges from. We've been watching it for a little over a week and when we went to check on him between storms he was emerging from his sleep.

Here he is holding on for dear life. We told him the big world isn't so scary after all.

Muffin told him that if by chance he does get frightened, to just close his eyes and all will be good!

This is sunrise in our back yard. Or should I say, the calm before the storm...

This is a pretty weed in the grass that Mommy picked. She disagrees and said weeds are NOT pretty!

This here is Eco Geco and he's a frequent visitor to our screen. We love to bark talk to him when he stops by for a visit.

And so you know, while we were away from blogging for a little bit, the hooman's have been taking in some nourishment. Now THAT'S a rack of ribs! (Don't worry, there were plenty of left over's LO'S.

OK, Mommy said that showing you dinner is really grasping at straws now. So I'll say see you later alligator.

Hope you enjoyed our little catch-up session.

Hugs,
Lily Belle

  11. Lily Belle, I have been having the same problems with my computer since Monday! The repairman finally came and gave us a new modem this morning. He blamed it on power surges and lightening too. That is very scary about the man walking in your back yard! I am glad to see you and Muffin are still as cute as ever. :)

First of all we must comment on those ribs...did your mom cook them, or go to heaven to pick them up...wow...my dad is drooling just looking at them, and made a couple mean comments to my mom about HeR cooking skills. We also liked that little geco that comes around and visits you, we don't have them around iowa cos our guess is they would be freezicles......your back yard is beautiful and huge!!!!
We are glad the weird guy isn't back in your yard, nowdays you just don't know anymore...its a good thing your mom has some fierce watch dogs!!! Our sammer hated storms also and would get all upset. We know he is happy that at the bridge there are no storms!
