I Love New York

We've all been REALLY busy since we arrived back home in New York.

Lawnmower Man finally came by and had a {ahem} little meeting with Mom. She got him all squared away and she didn't even have to use a 2 x 4 on his noggin.

Yes, that's me Lily in the tall grass

Dude, it's about time!

Weeds and more weeds amongst the flowers...

At least there are some plants in bloom (see the purple flowers under the bird feeder?)

We've had a lot of rain and cold weather. We woke up the other morning and it was 34 degrees outside.
When we left Florida it was in the 90's.

Watching Mommy weed sure is hard work!

Get's pretty boring being a Supervisor. Mommy picked 10 Hefty bag's full already.

Yesterday, we had some excitement around here. Look what I sniffed out...

Do you see what I see? Tucked away in the plants right off the side of our deck.

It's a little baby fawn.

I barked at it for a little bit until Mommy came over to see what all the commotion was all about. She thought I was barking at a chippie. Like IF.....

This was the cutest little thing we've all ever seen. Then late in the afternoon, Mommy Deer came back and the little fawn walked off into the garden with her. They hung around for a little bit until they decided to walk further back into the woods. I just bet we're gonna be seeing that little fawn again. We may even get to watch it grow up. That's the sweet thing about living in the woods, we have a lot of animals back here and we get to see many of them on a daily basis.

We still got a lot more weeds to pull, Doctor's appointments for everyone, dusting to be done and much more to do around here. Mommy said, all in good time.....

On a very sad note, we say Godspeed Weenie. We will miss you very much.

Hugs,
Lily Belle

  17. I am betting that lawn mowing man's ears are still ringing from the chewing out your momma gave him.
I bet your mom will be pulling weeds until she leaves for FL again!!

Our mom is jealous about the fawn... we gets baby bunnies and birds, but never a fawn.
