Mommy told him to KIO (knock it off) as there was plenty of room for more stuff. Men!!
Muffin said that if she had to listen to this the whole way home, she was just gonna suck on some gas from the tail pipe and get a little Doxie "high" going on.
We pulled out early on Wednesday morning and was very sad to say goodbye to Florida living.
We hit quite a bit of fog along the way when were we in the mountains of West Virginia.
Have I mentioned just how much I hate being in my crate?
Maybe I too should have sucked on that exhaust pipe a little bit. Even tho Mommy gives me a doggie downer pill, I fight right through it. Muffin, that little sh*t sleeps the entire way.
We stopped along the way for some human fuel. Trust me, Mommy and Daddy don't often pay $87,000,000.00 for a mocha latte, and they do prefer Dunkin D's butt sometimes you just gotta do it when that's all there is.
Daddy decided to stop for the night after driving for over 10 hours. Mommy found us a pawsome place to say. Why was it so pawsome you ask? Check this out....
And.... right over by our room, was this great fenced in area just for us four leggers. In the far right corner of the picture, do you see that red thing? That's a fire hydrant for those who lift their legs. And they had doodie bags right outside the gate too. We love the Best Western in Wytheville!
Their rooms were nice and clean. The beds were a little too high for us, but we were good and didn't jump off of them. Here I am reading the emergency fire instructions on the door. One must always know where the fire exits are.
We ate a good dinner of filet of beef. (We prefer NOT to call it kibble.)
We relaxed and watched some TV.
I think we all then passed out to get our beauty sleep. Before we could say Rip Van Winkle, we were all on the road once again.
All in all, it was a very uneventful ride which was great!
Now.... when we got home, oh boy, Mommy said a few choice HBO words and was NOT happy. This is what our back yard looked like...
The grass in our dog pen is almost up to Mommy's knees! That's a lot of tall grass back there. You can hardly see me in the picture above.
This picture is from our view. Muffin and I felt like explorers back there.
Mommy got right on the phone and called the Mower Man and had a long, long
Mower Man promises to come over today to rectify
We also have a tree down in the back yard that will need to be looked at. We were too tired last night to check it out.
Mommy is just walking around the house this morning saying I love NY!
After the lawn problem is resolved, Mommy will go and pick up Grandpa Bob. He's been having a grand ol'e time with the "stinky fish." They have gone out to dinner every night since he arrived! Can you say Cha-Ching?? Oh, just don't get us started.....
It's early here so I'm going to take a little nap now. Mommy is doing laundry, going thru the mail, dusting, unpacking and all that good stuff. Muffin and Daddy are still sleeping. Let sleeping dog's lie!
Hugs,
Lily Belle
