I Drought it will Rain

Muffin and I have been doing a rain dance for quite a few weeks now with NO success! We desperately need the little drops that come down from the sky.

Our lawn is pretty much crispy and brown and we don't like laying on it anymore. It use to be such a pretty green and really plush. Now it goes crunch, crunch, crunch!

The once beautiful flowers in the garden are weepy and droopy and are crying for water. Mommy has put on the watering machine, you know the one that sprays water, but after hours of watering, our extremely high temps here just dry it right out again.

Many of you are getting all the rain and we'd like you to share it with us!

I will say, our baby deer don't seem to mind the crispy flowers. They still feed on them regardless of their condition. Mommy fills the 4 bird baths daily for the little flyers birds. The deer also help to drink them dry on a daily basis.

The other night while our hoomans were eating dinner, Muffin and I were laying in the front door watching the world go by. All of a sudden the Mommy deer came right up to the glass door and looked right at us. We went crazy! I guess she wanted to make sure her babies were safe from us while they were in the front yard.

Mommy took these pictures thru the front door.

Please send rain our way. And if you can't send rain, send deer food instead.

Hugs,
Lily Belle

  5. We feel your pain here too. Despite all her efforts to keep watering, most of Mom's potted flowers are just burning up to a crisp too.

All the wildlife is moving in closer to humans because they need food and water too. We have a problem here with rattlesnakes moving into civilization and biting peeps. Hope the rain come soon. We hear there might be some this week.

  9. You know I'm doing the rain dance with you. We got our water bill yesterday, OUCH! Charlie has been going a bit crazy with watering all day...every day just to try to keep our landscape from croaking! Did you get some rain from the storm in the early morning here? We were lucky to get some, but it is back to watering today anyway.

    1. We gave up on the watering bcuz it was getting too expensive. Rain, what rain? We thought it was more like a tinkle than a sprinkle here. Mommy has been filling the bird baths but even they are drying out so quickly. Mommy tries to keep them filled but with her sniffles and sneezes and wheezes in this weather she tries to stay in as much as possible. Goodness.... She even cleaned out drawers this morning!
