Daddy's Gift

Hi Everyone,

Mommy Kim here. Today is my day to write a post, so here goes...

I always find it so hard to buy a gift for my husband. We don't need much, but on the other hand, he has it all! Every holiday or special occassion it's the same ol'e problem. So what's a girl to do...

Our 19th Anniversary is tomorrow and once again, I sat scratching my head. Buy clothes ~ nope. Buy DVD's or some music ~ nope. Buy jewlery ~ nope he don't wear it. Go on a trip ~ nope can't do that either (remember we take care of Grandpa.) Scratch, scratch, scratch!!!

So one day while I was on line blogging and catching up on my blogging buddies, I somehow stumbled and tumbled and landed upon a blog called Bailey Be Good! You can get to it here by clicking here: http://www.baileybegood.com/home/

OK, while I was checking out Bailey's great blog, I noticed a button on the side that linked me to www.DrawingMom.com. I come to find out that "Drawing Mom" is also Bailey's Mom. Her name is JM. So I'm checking out this web site and I can plainly see that she is an incredible artist and the best part is, she sketches pets!! (And I'll even go one step further to tell you that she sketched Our Blogville Mayor, Frankie Furter and also the beautiful Miss Nola. So in our mind, JM is famous!)

It was like a light clicked on in my head! What a wonderful idea. Have Bailey's Mom sketch our two beautiful girls. What a fantastic gift that would be. So I contacted JM via e-mail and decided that I would do two 5x7 portraits. One of Lily and one of Muffin.

I can't tell you how hard it was to pick out just 2 pictures. Of course part of the reason is I think my babies are always beautiful. I searched through hundreds of pictures and I really do mean hundreds! This is the one I picked for Lily.

And this is the one for Muffin.

The more I looked at these photos, the more I know I made the right choice!

So let me take you now on a little Portrait Journey...

When I received the portraits in the mail I couldn't believe my eyes.

Here is what I wrote to JM about Lily's portrait: How is it possible that I love her even more now! Your drawing of Lily is absolutely beautiful, incredible, magnificant and beyond WOW... You are an amazing artist. You've captured my little love bug perfectly.

And for little Muffin: She is another beauty and I'm so looking forward to picking out frames, etc. for them both. Still truly amazed by your talent.

Hubby is going to absolutely LOVE his gift!

I wanted to share these beautiful works of art with all of you because something this awesome needs to be shared!

I finally found that perfect gift for MY someone special!

Happy Anniversary sweetheart. I love you forever and always...

And now..... drum roll please.......

When you're done oogling these beautiful portraits, go check out JM and Bailey. You won't be disappointed that you did.

Hugs,
Kim
