Another Day

Hi Blogville friends!

Another beauty of a day here in Florida. I'm really getting quite use to being in all this warm weather and sunshine. I know I'm gonna love it here. Mommy and Daddy have fixed all the broken stuff around the house and have since been busy shopping for food (yummy), plants, etc. Grandpa's house is beautiful. I think I'm becoming a Florida d-o-g-g-i-e already and may never want to leave. I get to sit outside quite a bit 'cause now that Daddy is retired, he takes a lot of breaks. Mommy still has to work doing the cooking and cleaning.

Today we will all go for a long ride to the airport and pick up Grandpa. We will be happy to see him and I just know that our tails will be waging a mile a minute. Mommy will make a nice pasta dinner for him tonight to celebrate his arrival back home.

Mommy has been explaining to me that this is Grandpa's main home and that when her and Grandpa and Muffin would leave Daddy and me for months at a time, this is where they came. But now that Daddy is retired, we can all be snow birds. I tried to tell Mommy that I can't be a snow bird 'cause I'm a d-o-g, but she said we're still birds. I think she fell off her rocker so to speak and hit her head.

I'm making friends fast around here. I already walked over to meet Mr. Floyd the cat next door and his hoomans Marcie and Terry. I just helped myself and went right in their house. That's what they get for leaving their door open. But it didn't matter 'cause they all love me now. I also met the wonderful Miss Donna next door that Muffin has been telling me about for years. Miss Donna is 90 and use to have little Doxie's just like us! But that was a long time ago. She use to tell Muffin that their Heidi was dumb as dirt! I really like Miss Donna as she gives excellent belly rubs!! Now I see why Muffin loves her sooooo much. I can't wait to see my newest friend Rudy again. I hope that we can become really good buddies and take some walks together soon.

I'm making myself right at home here and have explored every inch of the house. Now just give me a big bone Mommy so I can find a really great hiding spot for it!

Bye for now...

Hugs,
Lily Belle

I'm glad you're enjoying your stay there. What's a snowbird? Sorry I haven't experienced snow yet so I really don't have any idea.
