Veteran's Day

We wanted to wish all of those who served in the military or are currently serving, a blessed Veteran's Day. To our fallen hero's, we thank you for your sacrifice. Because of you, we are allowed to live in "the land of the free and the home of the brave!"

I took my Dad to Denny's for breakfast this morning as he is a WWII Veteran and they were having a special Veteran's Day breakfast. While we were there, a handsome young man walked in dressed in his neatly pressed, navy blue Marine uniform. That's when my first tear drop fell... At the table next to them was a mother and her 2 young boys. All of a sudden, one of the little boys got up from the table and walked over to the Marine. The child could not have been more than 5 years old. He stood there in front of the Marine, extended his arm and shook his hand. He then very slowly put his hand to his heart and recited the Pledge of Allegiance. When he was done, we all clapped and were bursting with pride. There was not a dry eye in the house!

Thank you "little man" for showing us that there is still good in this world.
