We're still here

Hi furends,

We've been so busy since moving into G-PA Bob's house in Florida. Mommy has cleaned out every cabinet in every room in the whole house. She kept lots of good stuff & then added our stuff in there too.

She learned how to strip wallpaper off the walls. Thanks to Pinterest she thinks she can do anything! So she's been going to town starting in master bathroom.

Then she picked out some paint & Daddy got to do the painting.

Then they worked on the den. Mommy is making that her office. Daddy patched & then painted the entire room.

She kept G-ma's furniture since we didn't bring any desks with us from NY. Now, don't mind the mess bcuz she's just getting around to unpacking the boxes in there.

Daddy painted the whole hallway, baseboard & ceiling. Today they unpacked & hung up some pictures. It looks nice & it's good to see family pictures hanging up. Mommy said it's bittersweet then started to cry.

While all of this is taking place I, Lily Belle, was itching, scratching & nibbling my skin like crazy. It's been going on for a few months and it was getting worse. I saw the Vet (again) & he did 3 skin scrapings! Ouch!!

This is what I'm talking 'bout! Itches galore.

I was a very good girl & as G-PA Bob would have said "throw yourself on your sword." In other words, put on your big girl panties & buck it up. So the scrapings showed nothing. The big ZILCH! Crap. Then they took 87 gallons of blood for a specialized thyroid test. That would take a few weeks to get results and thankfully came out just fine. The Vet put me on 2 new meds & a special shampoo. They also put me on a rabbit food diet. Just rabbit and nothing else. We had to be sure it wasn't from the food I was eating. Today, all the lumps are gone and I'm almost all healed up. I took my last dose of medicine a few days ago and will stay on the rabbit for a while. We will see if the lumps come back now that the meds are done. If in a month they don't return Mommy will slowly start switching my food back. That's one way to know if it indeed is the food.

The weather in Florida has been beautiful and Muffin and I love being outside watching the birds and laying around in the sun.

In the late afternoon, Mommy moves our bed into the kitchen for the first glimpse of the afternoon sun.

We don't often open the front door in the afternoon because it makes the living room really hot and holy guacamole the electric bills here in Florida are outrageous! Mommy said we'd have to give up our bones to pay for it, so we are thankful for the sun coming in the window. We were used to paying $80.00 a month in NY and here we're paying $380.00!!!!! A BIG adjustment that's for sure.

Mommy & Daddy went out to a free concert in the park the other night and said it was wonderful getting out! Every Friday night the next town over (Winter Haven) has free concerts. So they picked up some sandwiches and brought their lawn chairs. I have a feeling that they will be going again.

Mommy collected up G-Ma & G-Pa's golf bag tags and made this little doo-dad on G-Pa Bob's golf club and hung it over the garage entrance to the house. She thought it made a nice little remembrance.

Our zinnia garden is in full bloom

And our sunsets have been amazing!

Daddy enjoying the sun & front yard. He is really enjoying being here full time.

Mommy joined the Facebook movement as she calls it. We have some furniture to sell and since our homeowners community has a swap shop on FB, she had to join in order to list the stuff. It's interesting connecting with old friends again.

So furends, that's what we've been up to. Busy, busy, busy! Mommy's next project is either taking off the wallpaper in the kitchen or the 2nd bathroom. Daddy is trying to convince her to take some time off from doing these big projects, but if you know our Mommy, she can't sit still too long.

We love you all.

Hugs,
Lily Belle & Muffin
