Daddy's Update

We love having Daddy on the couch where he is a "captive couch potatoe."

He makes the best snuggle buddy!

We don't allow him to go far at all.

Right now he is in good spirits butt is starting to get a little antsy about his upcoming surgery. He's been reviewing thing's over with Mommy "just in case." Mommy is a realist butt still doesn't like to hear this stuff. We told Daddy he's not going anywhere and will be as good as deer poop once the surgery is over.

His surgery is scheduled for this Friday the 5th. Mommy has to take him to the hospital at 10:30am and the actual surgery (right now) is on for 12:30pm. They will call and verify the time the night before. We don't know how long he will be in the hospital. It all depends how much work is required to get the kidney removed.

A furend of ours brought over this beautiful bounty of veggies the other day. Mommy happened to have some leftover beef and turned all of it into a really yummy and healthy veggie beef soup.  Muffin and I were even given some (minus the onions.) It warmed our bellies and Daddy said it was delicious and made him smile.

Because Daddy and his drains require a lot of care, Mommy can't get out of the house much. And when she does it's quick trips. She did take me for a walk last week and it was great for the two of us to get out of the house.  Look how happy I am here!

We live right by a beautiful school yard that is only a hop, skip and walk over a little bridge from our house.

She took Grandpa Bob to the farmer's market last weekend for some exercise.  Then they stopped at the butcher. Yes, we still have a real butcher in town!   Mommy made one of Daddy's favorite meals with the meat from the butcher man. We put the leftovers in the soup.

As you can imagine, Mommy is really tired both mentally and physically. It's a lot of work to have two guy's who require round the clock care. Rest assure, Muffin and I have been excellent girls (except for the time we both pee'd on the carpet at the same time) for Mommy and are always giving her lot's of hugs and kisses. She needs them you know.

All we can say is, there is never a dull moment at our house!!

We are sorry that we don't get to leave too many comments on your blog's these days, nor do we post much anymore. Butt we do know that you all understand our situation here. As soon as Mommy has the chance to sit down, she's up again doing something for one of the 4 of us. You would think the woman would be skinny.......

We love you all and thank you always for your love, support, snail mail & e-mail cards, prezzies and encouraging words.

Hugs,
Lily Belle
