The Sunshine in my life & weathering the storm

She is without a doubt, the sunshine in my life and today my happy little camper and love bug is 10 years old.

Happy Birthday Lily Belle! You have enriched my life more than anyone will ever know.

We still are having massive problems with Blogger. We can't post any pictures from the laptop. All pictures are added via our smart phone. It is a royal pain in the neck so that is one reason we've not been posting much.

We've also been having problems with Grandpa Bob. We can't not keep him awake. It started about 3 weeks ago and it's the strangest thing. He is constantly falling asleep then waking up over and over and over. I put the video camera on him and in watching 45 minutes of the video he fell asleep 41 times. His head is up and down and up and down. He can be asleep for 10 seconds or he can be asleep for a minute. Unless you are ACTIVELY engaging him in something he can't stay awake. Last week he fell asleep chewing his bagel. Yup, right in mid chew!  Then the other day, I smelled something burning in the house and walked into the kitchen and his muffin was totally engulfed in flames in the toaster oven and Grandpa Bob was asleep at the table. Many times when his head goes down, it hits the table.

I took him to see the Dr. yesterday (yes, it took us that long to get in to see the Dr.) He said that it could be from a lack of oxygen as his oxygen level yesterday was low. He does have COPD and I believe it is getting worse. The Dr. ordered an overnight test that will record his oxygen levels over a 24 hour period. The meter is being delivered tomorrow. Hopefully we will get some answers in the near future.

We have been sitting with him for the past few weeks (pretty much 24/7) to keep an eye on him. It is a very dangerous situation for everyone. We sure don't want the house to burn down or for him to get hurt. We sure hope that this is something the Dr's can figure out real soon. Please keep Grandpa Bob in your good thoughts and pray that I can keep my sanity while keeping everyone safe! My hair is getting grayer by the minute.
