The Sunshine State

I'm happy to be out of PRISON! If anyone thinks riding for 2 days in a crate is easy, then you need to have your head examined.

We started out bright and early Thursday morning from New York. It was still dark outside for crying out loud.

Just SOME of our junk

After a quick stop for coffee we were on our way. Stupid Muffin fell asleep and started snoring immediately. How could she do that to me? Doesn't she know that she should be crying and whimpering and whining with me! I thought if I tried that long enough Mommy would break down and let me ride shotgun. Guess I was wrong.

This is us, in jail right behind the front seats.

Mommy kept sticking her hands back to pet me because I'm a rock & roller. I like to shake, rattle and roll while in my crate. (yes, even with the sedation medication I'm NOT a happy traveler.)

I almost bit off one of Mommy's fingers during the trip.

They smelled like chocolate chip cookies. How was I to know she wasn't going to share?

We stopped and stayed overnight in Rock Hill, South Carolina at our favorite Hampton Inn. Mommy let's us run up and down the hallway for exercise there.

We also had a very nutritious dinner.

We always do takeout food since Mommy will NOT leave Muffin and I alone in the room. She said that the other guests would NOT want to hear our big mouths.

We took frequent stops because it seems like Mommy has to pee every 5 minutes. (OK, that's a lie, I just wanted to poop in every state!) Georgia was my favorite rest stop. There were lot's of other doggies there and you can bet I talked to each and every one of them.

Ol'e sleepyhead Muffin would not get out of jail in Georgia. She said there were too many loud noises, too many people and too many dog's for her liking.

We finally arrived at our home in Florida at 4:30pm Friday. We thank the good Lord that we had a safe journey.

Mommy and I were up early this morning so I thought I should patrol our yard.

Our first sunrise

We are all very happy to be back in the Sunshine State and out of prison.

Hugs,
Lily Belle

  5. We think we'd be happy to be ANYWHERE after such a long trip...just sayin'.

Your mum could have taken the chips out of those cookies and shared ya know. Bella doesn't even like traveling 4 km to the river. Can't imagine that distance.

Glad you're there, safe and hope no gators were busy in your garden while you were away.

Oh, and good move on keeping your mum with you in the hotel AND getting take-away chicken.
