The weather here in Florida has been hotter than hot. With near 90 temp's all week, all of us have been melting! Mommy REALLY hates it and doesn't know how she will survive until the end of May here. She claims it's like one BIG hot flash 24/7. She's such a drama queen!
The pollen count (yeah, like we know what THAT is) is through the roof. The little yellow pollen particles fall from the sky like snowflakes.
They get all over our furs, the human's clothes, the grill cover and even eye glasses. Sniffle, sniffle, sneeze, sneeze, sneeze. All of us have the sneezels from it.
Dang, don't I look good!
Muffin and I are getting very little outdoor time because as soon as we get out there, find our comfy spot to lay in, we're panting like crazy. So instead, we choose to seek out the sun puddles that peek into our windows.
The other day we said goodbye to Lulu, our Van. It had to go north for the summer. So this really nice man named Jim stopped by and took Lulu for a long ride. This will be the Van that Grandpa Bob will drive in NY and we will sell his older one. We will travel home to NY in Mommy's newest Van. (Yes, we have 3 of them.)
Lulu was a little nervous about leaving us, but we told her it would be OK. That is as long as Mr. Jim didn't dump her off the side of his BIG truck. (I actually think that Mommy was more nervous about this part.)
Mr. Jim is a doggie lover and even has his beloved girl on his truck. He said she was very special.
We're still getting our golf cart rides at night which we love. We see so many people while we're out and also many big birds too. We bark very loudly when we see other dog's, just to say hello.
Mommy and Daddy's good friends Jack and Debbie are heading back home to Canada tomorrow. They have also been here in Florida since November. It will be sad to see them go. They bring us lot's of treats when they come over.
Grandpa Bob is doing OK. His cancer surgery on his cheek went very well.
He will have the other two skin cancer's removed when we get back to NY.
Muffin and I have been doing a lot of rough-housing together since we're inside most of the time. I usually win!
Don't let the innocent look on Muffin's face fool ya!
Muffin and I are 100% healthy now and we plan on staying that way.
So that's what we've been up to. Hope you have a totally pawsome day!
Hugs,
Lily Belle
Golf cart rides sound like TONS of fun. Why go through all the work of walking when you can RIDE?

Oh man! I can't believe it's going to be another month before I can get to see you again! I think you should have had mommy drive the van north with you in it and leave the boys behind.
ReplyDeleteMiss you girls.

First mom wanted to tell you that at this very moment she is sitting in her office, with a broke furnace for 3 days, and it is freezing storming rain, and hail and lightening outside...so we want it to be a little warmer here! We didn't know about Grandpa Bobs surgery we hope everything is fine. You guys are looking happy and healthy...how fun to ride in a golf cart!

Good to hear from you that life is going pretty well. Safe travels home to all. We aren't looking forward to that hot weather here either. But today we are dealing with the threat of severe weather. We want our snow back.

Glad you guys are doing well! Sounds like it is getting hotter and hotter down there! Glad your g-pa had a good surgery too.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a cool ride for your van to get! It's very sweet how it looks like that pooch is peeking out the truck window. Gee, I never rode in a golf cart before, but I see lots of them around my territory so maybe I should hijack one for a joyride sometime. BOL You two look adorable in your playtime video.
