The Money Tree

Since we arrived at our Florida home, it has been non-stop happenings here.

First I just gotta say that the landscapers here did a wonderful job of getting Mommy's gardens ready for our arrival. Everything is nice and neat and trimmed. Not like our NY idiot who is going to get fired come April.

The weather has been on the cooler side but it is definitely warmer than NY. Hey we can handle it being in the 60's that's fur sure!

Mommy and Daddy have already made multiple trips to the big box store called Lowe's and have to go back again today. The day we left here in May to head back to NY the screen door heading into the garage broke and partially fell off the frame. Yesterday Mr. Luke had to come over to measure for a new one. So Mommy now has to go buy the new door today. We will see Mr. Luke again next week when he comes to install it.

Then over the summer (while we were in NY) they had a bad electrical storm here and all our neighbors told us about phones and cable and Internets not working. Mommy arranged to have the repair people all out yesterday to do repairs in light of this information. She got smart and coordinated all of this a few weeks ago.

Today we have phone service. Our biggest issue was the cable TV. We met Mr. Mike yesterday morning and his trainee yesterday. Muffin and I barked at them for quite a while but when they got down on the floor with us and we gave them a good sniffing, they were OK and we quickly became furends.

Mr. Mike and his trainee gave us bones so we would stay outta their furs while they worked. Look at how nicely little prissy Muffin holds her bone!

Then Muffin gave up on being annoying and skittish around the guys, she found the best spot in the house to relax.

I will give her credit... She drags her bed into the sun all by herself. Here she is smack dab in the middle of the kitchen enjoying the late afternoon sun.

Mommy always laughs when Muffin does this. And of course, Mommy LOVES taking pictures of Muffins reflection in the stove.

They arrived at around 10am and the way things were going Mommy thought they would be joining us fur dinner! They had to run new cable all the way from the road to the house, then a new cable line into the house and an additional line for our Internets.

You didn't think I would let Mr. Mike and his trainee do any work outside without my supervision did ya?

After many hours, we now can all watch TV. Or should I say sort of..... We found out that even tho Daddy's new TV (that he bought in January) was unplugged and didn't get zapped by the storm, some of the inputs on the TV no longer work. So NO surround sound for us. So Muffin and I went for a ride to pick up a duplicate receipt for Daddy's TV (cuz he don't remember where he put it). We need that for the repair people.

Today the TV goes to see the repairman.

Then while we were out and about being passengers and looking as beautiful as ever, we had to stop at the car dealer. While we were gone over the summer the battery in our spare van died. Daddy went and bought a new battery the day before and installed it himself. So we had to drop off the dead battery in order to get our $15.00 refund back.

Muffin and I did NOT like the sounds at the car dealer. The repairman was putting new tires on that car and the loud noise from his tools really freaked us out. It sounded like someone was coming after us with a chainsaw.

All in all, it was an extremely long day and exhausting too!

Today brings a whole new set of things to do and to fix. But I promise to keep you posted to the important repair jobs that we help with.

Now I totally understand why Mommy is walking around with her head in her hands saying "Just where in the heck did I plant that money tree."

Hugs,
Lily Belle
