Plop

Plop, plop, fizz, fizz....... Oh what a relief it is......

We are stuffed to the gullet with turkey and most of the fixings, how 'bout you?

Here are just a few pic's from our feast (and in no particular order.)

Grasshopper Pie:

Mommy made 2 of them. One for us and one for our neighbor.

Stuffing:

We ALWAYS use Grandma's recipe! It's the best in the universe.

Daddy in the kitchen ALWAYS requires supervision. He was helping Mommy make Grandma's stuffing for the first time.

Yes, she's soft and white, butt please don't call my Mommy a Bimbo...There was NO Wonder Bread in the stores at all.

The other little supervisor. Grandpa was reading the newspaper and we don't think he even knew we were all in the kitchen cooking.

Cinnamon nut pull apart bread. This is what smelled so good this morning. Mommy got up early (that's nothing new) and made this for breakfast.

Mommy's food on Grandma's good dishes. (Mommy Kim here ~ Yes, I will always use my mother's best china for the Holiday's. I believe in the theory that lightening could stike me dead otherwise...)

Grandpa Bob ready to dig in.

Daddy getting a head start.

Going for a ride before dinner.

Then we came home to baste the turkey and put up our Christmas tree. It is definately a Charlie Brown tree but we love it. We will take pictures later once it is decorated.

Now we just have to wait for the Grasshopper pie to be served so we can lick the plates. Then we will all pass out with "turkey belly."

We hope you have a great Thanksgiving too.

Hugs,
Lily Belle & Muffin

  3. What a feast you all had. Ours was similar without the grasshopper pie. That looks delish. Is that your new wheels? It might not be tricked out, but it sure looks spiffy. We're thankful to have met you in person too and can't wait for you to get back north. Okay...I guess we will have quite a wait seeing as you just got down there, but we will count the days. Love and hugs to you all.

  6. Hi Lily Belle and Muffin....OMDs my mom always has at least 2 crock pots in the house...and as soon as one dies she buys another one. Both are different sizes though.
Your pull apart cinnamon bread is what we have every single Christmas morning. Mom's recipe calls it Monkey bread. She says it is because the two leggers look like monkey's pulling it about. MOL

    Your lunch was surely scrumptious.

  12. Wow, it all looks great! I got gypped this year, my peeps were feeling under the weather so the family, without me, went to a diner style restaurant & didn't even get any turkey or stuffing. Of course that means nothing for me!

  14. Howdy Lily Belle and Muffin, oh my dog, that food looks sooooo good. We are green with jelly over it, slobber, drool. Our Poppa always used to sit and read the paper when the food was being prepared too! Thanks for your comment today about your Grandma. We can't believe she had the same Father Christmas!! How wonderful is that. Now when we play ours we will think of your Grandma too! Take care everybuddy. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
