Halloween Happenings

I just don't get it, for a family that is leaving for Florida in 4.5 days just why the heck are we at the grocery store?

We really didn't care WHY, because we got to go for a ride.

I'm keeping an eye out closely for any ghosts or goblins in the parking lot.

OMD! Will ya look at that...

A witch driving an SUV

Mommy sent Daddy into the grocery store. He bought more candy for the little kids. (He ate all the first stuff we bought, so it's only right that he buy more..)

Mommy is trying to talk to me and calm me down. I just knew something was up so I was very antsy.

What do you mean the doorbell is gonna be ringing like crazy? We HATE the doorbell.

Seriously Mom the baby gate?

Hey move this gate Mom! Scooby Doo is at the door....

Hope you all had a pawsome Halloween!

Hugs,
Lily Belle

  2. Hey Lily & Muffin, so happy you dropped over, sorry we didn't reply at the time, but our Mum is a bit slack. Glad you weathered the "storm" and Halloweenie. Mum has updated our blog, we have puppies.

  4. Lily Belle thank goodness you were there to guard your DoxieMobile from the evil van witch.
Our first pet was a Doxie too (a gazillion years ago) Mom told me he would bark so hard when the door bell.
Every time he barked he would bark so hard he would jump backwards.
MOL wish I had known him sounds like he was a funny guy.

  6. Where we live on a farm no one comes to our house for Hallowiener. We miss living in the suburbs because we loved dressing up and being petted by sticky kid hands (yummy for a lick)

    Newby says "HI!!!"

  7. We had a very quiet Howl-O-Weenie. But Mom says for our sake, it's better that way. We all go a little nuts when someone comes to the door.

  10. Ugh. We had to be on leashes or have our collars held all night. Why can't WE run around to all the neighbors and get treats?

  12. No door bells for me. I was at a trick or trunk thing. Make sure your peeps go to the store before you leave to get you treats for the trip.

  13. BOL - cute post. We always have that gate that keeps us away from the front door. Mom was expecting Lightning to freak out with all the visitors at the door. But he was quite good, barked at the first few, but then just settled with the rest of us peering through the gate to see if any pups came calling. Wish we had seen Scooby Doo.

  18. I know just how you feel. I was inside with Daddy and Mommy stayed out to give out treats. I barked as much as I could but it didn't stop them and they got away with all of our goodies.

  19. Howdy Lily Belle, sorry you were shut behind the gate. We get shut behind closed doors, sigh. Nice to go for a car ride isn't it. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

  21. We live too rurally to get trick-or-treaters... but I forgot that it was Halloween, and I took Shyla into town for socialization that afternoon. Oh my... a people-shy dog should not be around costumes! I managed to get us to a quiet park... and then everything was okay.

I cannot imagine if those costumes were showing up at our house!

  22. It was a rainy & windy Halloweenie night here.....like your Dad....our Dad buys too many treats!
And we don't get kids in our neighborhood! Which is just as well, as Oskar would be barking his spots off
    all night!

  23. My mom person forgot it was Halloween, so we had to sit in the house with the lights off in shame!
