We really didn't care WHY, because we got to go for a ride.
I'm keeping an eye out closely for any ghosts or goblins in the parking lot.
OMD! Will ya look at that...
A witch driving an SUV
Mommy sent Daddy into the grocery store. He bought more candy for the little kids. (He ate all the first stuff we bought, so it's only right that he buy more..)
Mommy is trying to talk to me and calm me down. I just knew something was up so I was very antsy.
What do you mean the doorbell is gonna be ringing like crazy? We HATE the doorbell.
Seriously Mom the baby gate?
Hey move this gate Mom! Scooby Doo is at the door....
Hope you all had a pawsome Halloween!
Hugs,
Lily Belle
I hear your pain Lily Belle! We too had Fred and Gloria behind the dreaded baby gate. It's tough but better for everyone. :)
ReplyDeleteHey Lily & Muffin, so happy you dropped over, sorry we didn't reply at the time, but our Mum is a bit slack. Glad you weathered the "storm" and Halloweenie. Mum has updated our blog, we have puppies.
ReplyDeleteThe Long Dogs... Evie, Quincy, Podge + 7 along with Meah and Mum
BOL funny Lily dad eating all the treats. Not the dreaded baby gate. Yikes not right. Hope you had a really funny Halloween. Have a terrific Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Lily Belle thank goodness you were there to guard your DoxieMobile from the evil van witch.
ReplyDeleteOur first pet was a Doxie too (a gazillion years ago) Mom told me he would bark so hard when the door bell.
Every time he barked he would bark so hard he would jump backwards.
MOL wish I had known him sounds like he was a funny guy.
hugs Madi your BFFF

Where we live on a farm no one comes to our house for Hallowiener. We miss living in the suburbs because we loved dressing up and being petted by sticky kid hands (yummy for a lick)
ReplyDeleteNewby says "HI!!!"
Shelle, Milo, Dixie and Newby,
http://simpaticodreams.blogspot.com/
We had a very quiet Howl-O-Weenie. But Mom says for our sake, it's better that way. We all go a little nuts when someone comes to the door.
ReplyDeleteWow, Scooby Doo visited you?! That's totally pawsome. We had lots of visitors last night, but not Scooby!
ReplyDeleteWow, a Wegmans! My brother went to college near a Wegmans and I thought that store was the greatest! Hope you have a great day!
ReplyDeleteUgh. We had to be on leashes or have our collars held all night. Why can't WE run around to all the neighbors and get treats?
ReplyDeleteNora
You girls should have come over here last night. We never get any trick or treaters. We do buy a bag of candy just in case ;-)
ReplyDeleteMillie
No door bells for me. I was at a trick or trunk thing. Make sure your peeps go to the store before you leave to get you treats for the trip.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
BOL - cute post. We always have that gate that keeps us away from the front door. Mom was expecting Lightning to freak out with all the visitors at the door. But he was quite good, barked at the first few, but then just settled with the rest of us peering through the gate to see if any pups came calling. Wish we had seen Scooby Doo.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
Hope you had a fun Halloween! We hate it when anyone comes to the door too - there was a lot of barking going on last night.
ReplyDeleteDip Bridge and Elliot x
Yeah, we got banished to the back yard! And we wanted to bark and give the kids a scare--we thought that's what it's all about!
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & roxy
Hi Lily!
ReplyDeleteSorry you got put behind the baby gate. Dad held my collar whenever mom opened the door for trick-or-treaters so I couldn't properly greet them (by jumping on them and kissing them). Hmpf!

BOL, we can't believe you didn't get to sniff Scooby Doo
ReplyDeleteSnorts,
Benny & Lily
I know just how you feel. I was inside with Daddy and Mommy stayed out to give out treats. I barked as much as I could but it didn't stop them and they got away with all of our goodies.
ReplyDeleteLoveys Sasha
Howdy Lily Belle, sorry you were shut behind the gate. We get shut behind closed doors, sigh. Nice to go for a car ride isn't it. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteRides and baby gates! We're so glad that Frankenstorm was only a Frankenweenie at your house.
ReplyDeleteKeep on wagging,
Tootsie
We live too rurally to get trick-or-treaters... but I forgot that it was Halloween, and I took Shyla into town for socialization that afternoon. Oh my... a people-shy dog should not be around costumes! I managed to get us to a quiet park... and then everything was okay.
ReplyDeleteI cannot imagine if those costumes were showing up at our house!
It was a rainy & windy Halloweenie night here.....like your Dad....our Dad buys too many treats!
ReplyDeleteAnd we don't get kids in our neighborhood! Which is just as well, as Oskar would be barking his spots off
all night!
(((hugs)) your friends
Oskar & Schatzi
My mom person forgot it was Halloween, so we had to sit in the house with the lights off in shame!
ReplyDeleteNubbin wiggles,
Oskar
looks like your doxies love halloween about as much as Rod does! that doorbell ringing...probably our least favorite holiday!
ReplyDeleteSO not fair! BTW girl, you're looking so slender in that last picture!
ReplyDeleteLove ya
