Life's Update

Hi Everyone!

Furst we gotta say that we're hoping and praying that all in the path of Super Storm Sandy will be able to stay safe. We are supposed to get high winds and torrential rains from Sandy starting next week. Mommy went to the store today to get prepared. (OK, she really went to buy ice cream, but she said not to tell you that!)

We will keep an eye on things very closely because we will be driving thru the hills of Virginia on November 5th and they are supposed to (maybe) get dumped with snow.

I am feeling a bit better. I still have the 'welts' on my neck but they are now drying up and getting crusty. We still don't have a definate diagnosis on what it is so we're still going to blame poison ivy. I'm still on medication and will be for about a week. I am still shaking my head every now and then but not as much.

Muffin must have been feeling sympathy pains for me and has been sick herself. Thursday night she started throwing up a little bit. Not enough to make Mom worry too much. Then yesterday it was getting worse and she started tossing her cookies all over the house. Isn't it amazing how fast we can run away from the parents, puke, then run away again! Nope, she wasn't about to let Mommy catch her.

This morning when she woke all of us up by puking again, Mommy called the Vet's as soon as they opened. Mommy was able to get her right in.

Oh, are we going somewhere good?

What do you mean the V-E-T?

Well Muffin wasn't too happy about the entire ordeal.

Please Mommy, I feel much better now, REALLY!

Of course we all know just how hard it is to diagnose a bad belly ache in us little one's. So after much ado, Muffin got a BIG shot in her tushie! They hope it will quiet down the tummy ripples for a while. She also will be taking a a pill for the tummy ripples (bcuz the ripples make her go Ralph), an antibiotic and some antacids. She can only have a little tiny bit of special food for her tummy and little drinks of water.

Right now, she is laying down with Daddy and me resting. We're keeping our paws crossed that she feels better soon. Mommy is tired of lugging around the Spot Bot cleaning up puke.

Now on a happy note....... You will NEVER guess who I went to visit yesterday....

On our way to Millie's House

I met new puppy Millie from Bird Brains and Dog Tales. Yup, I sure did! Mommy and I went to visit Miss Cindy, Mr. Charlie and new puppy Millie.

Here I am with our bags of goodies for them

Our furst sniff's

Millie was so nice to me. She got down on MY level so I could see her.

Missing my new furends already!

Mommy and I had a GREAT visit! Millie is absolutely beautiful. The best part is, she liked me. Or I should say, we liked each other. I'm just a little thing with a bad neck and Millie is all puppy, so we had to stay on our leashes and that was OK with us. That way no one got hurted.

Mommy got lot's of kisses from Millie which Mommy loved every minute of it.

I also loved meeting Miss Cindy and Mr. Charlie. They were really nice to me and gave me some really great scritchies and pets too.

I know for a fact that Miss Cindy likes Doxie's because she is good furends with Tasha from Dachsies with Moxie. (Did you know that Tasha and I look alike, so we say we're soul sisters!)

All in all it was a fantastic day. I hope to be able to see them again when we get back from Florida in May.

One tuckered out little doxie...

Hugs,
Lily Belle

  1. We sure had a fun day didn't we? Too bad you are running off to Florida so soon. We will have to get together again after you get back. By then I will be a grown up 1 year old doggie and maybe a little calmer so we can play off leash together. Mommie was just going through her pictures from yesterday and will be posting about your visit soon too.

Thanks again for visiting with me yesterday. I really had a good time and your mommie gives great belly rubs!

    Love,

    Millie
