Busy Little Beavers

It's coming down to the wire now and Mommy has been in full out work mode getting us all ready to head to Florida. We leave in 16 days and will be gone for almost 6 months. She feels like Mr. Miyagi from the movie the Karate Kid. Remember the scene "wax on, wax off?" This is Mommy's version of that scene...

Phone On (in FL), Phone Off (in NY)
Mail On, Mail Off
TV On, TV Off
Newspaper On, Newspaper Off
Garbage Collection On, Garbage Collection Off

Do you catch my drift? It takes a lot of coordinating to be a Snow Bird. There's that word again... How many times do I have to tell ya Mommy that I'm a Doxie NOT a bird.

Then there's the never ending coordinating of getting everyone into the Dr's, getting blood work done and getting written prescriptions to take with us (over 20 of them ~ yes, Grandpa Bob takes most of them), the triming of our nails (because Mom's a woosie and won't do them herself), the hiring of the snow plow man for the season, the firing of the landscaper (because he SUCKED!), the hiring of the new landscaper (because ANYONE with a pair of sizzors could do way better), and let's not forget the ever important task of trying to convince me that my crate is like the Barnum & Bailey Circus.

You know, the BEST place on earth! I HATE MY CRATE! And why all of a sudden am I getting use to the taste of Pill Pocket treats once again?? Oh yeah, I have to be SEDATED for the ride! I would rather be strapped to the roof of the van instead of being locked like a jail bird in my crate for 2 days.

Anywho... Other than that, here are just a few thing's we've all been doing to have some fun inbetween all of Mommy's work.

Daddy took Mommy for a Fall Foliage train ride for her birthday. Daddy seems to forget that Mommy HATES trains! (She hopes to have time in the near future to do a post about the ride.)

Daddy took Mommy out for a special birthday dinner of crab leg's after the train ride. (I think it was to make up for the fact that Mommy HATES trains.)

Took a fall ride in the country to get some apples

Didn't take one picture of any apples!

Enjoyed the earthly sights

Watched the leaves changing colors

Found "Birdhouse Bob" along the way and bought 2 beautiful one's from him

Watched our sweet furend Freeda sleep. Who can resist this beautiful sight!

More birthday crab for Mommy @ Joe's Crab Shak

Spent this feast with her family

Caught up with my one boyfurend Marley

Was more interested in the Caution sign at the pet store

But finally did notice the good stuff. Hey Muffin, the treats are this way...

Had to send Power of the Paw to our furends Nola, Anna Rose, Goose & Stella Rose's Mommy (as she has a broken heart right now)

Played hide the weenie with Muffin

Had my picture taken like 87 gazillion times by Mommy and her new Smart Phone.
But DANG! I am cute!

Got in some GOOD rides (good aka not in my crate rides)

Watched Mommy start our Christmas Cards on the messy dining room table with the half eatten (thanks Daddy) Halloween Candy amongst the boxes Mommy is packing for Florida mess.

Boo! Did I scare ya?

And finally found some time to take a nap because all that stuff above just plain ol'e tuckered us out!

Hugs,
Lily Belle

    1. Please don't tell Geoff that news.... IN fact, that is the only reason my Mom is going to do the post at all is because Geoff would love it! She took a ton of pictures and got a brochure so she can get all the facts right. If you ever make it this far North (in NY) we would have to take you there.

  14. I LOVEEEEE all your photos .. especially hide the weenie. .that made me giggle. Starting on Christmas cards already? *sigh* I need to figure out who's doing what this year in terms of sending and receiving cards. I kinda slacked off on DBB so I don't think I'll participate in that one this year.

    You're a busy bee!!
